ANN M. GROTTVEIT joined KSC in November 2007 as a litigation attorney. She is admitted to the California State Bar as well as to the state bars of Nebraska, Illinois and Wisconsin. She is admitted to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, Federal District Courts in Illinois and Wisconsin as well as the Federal District Court for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California.

Ann received her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin, School of Law in 1992 and was admitted to practice in Wisconsin in 1992. She began her career in Illinois as a litigation associate concentrating her practice in insurance defense. Ann relocated to Nebraska where she ultimately became a partner in a commercial practice law firm. Since joining the firm in 2007, Ann has focused on representing clients in matters before the California Department of Food and Agriculture, Department of Pesticide Regulation and the Air Resources Board. Her commercial litigation practice has expanded to include regulatory and environmental matters.

In addition to her law practice, Ann is involved with local organizations in Sacramento, including the Pleasant Grove Junior Eagles Football and Cheer Organization. Ann lives in the Sacramento area with her husband Tony Gates and their children Oliver and Delaney.
